Trump’s Ban on Trans Athletes in Women’s Sports: A Return to Common Sense

Trump’s Ban on Trans Athletes in Women’s Sports: A Return to Common Sense

As a young man, I used to participate in many sports, from running, to martial arts, to weight lifting. I was always a finalist, but hardly ever a champion. However, if I would have put on some lipsticks, and a skirt, and identified myself as a woman, I would have taken many first places.

In recent years, women, girls, have been losing out on opportunities stolen from them by biological meles identifying themselves as women.

But this unfairness is finally over. President Trump signed the Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports executive order, cutting federal funding to any school that permits biological men to compete in women’s sports. This move finally put an end to the injustice allowed to flourish under the previous administration.

The Unfair Advantage Of Men With Lipsticks Over Biological Women

Studies have repeatedly shown that, on average, men have greater muscle mass, bone density, and oxygen-carrying capacity than women. But we don’t need science to tell us that. This is so obvious to even a 1-year-old boy or girl.

There have been many instances in which transgender women have broken records previously held by women. Those records should be erased, because they were not broken by women.

A Direct Threat to Women’s Opportunities

Women have fought for decades to gain equal opportunities in sports. Title IX, the landmark U.S. legislation passed in 1972, was designed to protect women’s rights in education and athletics. Allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports undermines the very purpose of these protections. Female athletes train tirelessly to reach the pinnacle of their sport, only to see their scholarships, medals, and opportunities taken away by men with lipstick. How can young girls be encouraged to pursue athletics when the system is stacked against them?

There Will Be Fairness At The Olympics

Recognizing the urgent need to protect female athletes, Trump has taken steps beyond the executive order. He directed DHS (Department of Homeland Security) Secretary Kristi Noem to block visas for men identifying as women from competing in the Los Angeles Games. This action is an effort to prevent international athletes from exploiting loopholes that would allow them to enter women’s competitions unfairly.

The Backlash and the Path Forward

Critics argue that such policies are discriminatory and infringe on transgender rights. However, the core issue at stake is not identity—it is fairness. Women’s sports exist precisely because biological differences between men and women necessitate separate competition categories. A refusal to acknowledge these differences is a refusal to protect the very foundation of women’s sports.
