This is the second time that Jennifer Brown comes to the Alain Guillot Podcast. Please check out our previous conversation on episode #066 to find out more about Jennifer’s background story of how she became an Inclusive Leader.
Jeniffer owns a consulting firm that works on diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies for large companies. She is also a speaker and author.
Jennifer is a member of the LGBTQ community which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer. She has been out for 25 years.
For many years she was not bringing her full personality to work. She didn’t want to disclose that she was a lesbian because of fear of being rejected or even losing her job.
Her case was not unique. She finds that in one way or another, all of us are not bringing our full personalities to work for the same fears and insecurities that she had.
Having inclusion and diversity is crucial for the survival of today’s businesses. Talent comes for all groups, and clients also come from all groups and businesses have to reflect today’s diverse society.
Here is an example of an inclusive advertisement video.
