Emancipation from her family
Heidi Luerra always had a thirst for liberty and autonomy. At age 11 she drafted a document proclaiming her emancipation from her family, she signed it and had her family signed as well. From that moment on, she considered herself free.
With new freedoms come new responsibilities. Since she was free, she figured she needed to have her own money, and thus her entrepreneurial career got started. She found herself a job and started many side projects at the time. Haidi was able to keep up several jobs, her artistic endeavors, and still get good grades in school.
The birth of a creative
At age 11 Heidi Luerra hosted fashion shows in her living room. She dressed her siblings in clothing from her closet and announce their wears with her sister’s karaoke machine.
Moving to Los Angeles
When she was eighteen she moved to Los Angeles to fulfill her dream of being a fashion designer. When she was twenty-four she launched the RAW artists’ platform with zero funding, from her kitchen table. Over the past decade, Heidi has grown RAW Artists to a worldwide operation in over 80 cities with almost 200k artists in the RAW community.
